UOKiK, together with the competition authorities of Lithuania and Latvia and the OECD, has completed a project on competition in digital markets. The report was prepared by the OECD with the financial support of the European Union through the Technical Support Instrument (TSI). The study and its recommendations are intended to support effective competition in digital markets.

OECD Competition Committee works to enhance the effectiveness of competition law enforcement. The Bureau is responsible for guiding the Competition Committee’s work.

In Paris, a meeting was held among the Ministers of the Consumer Policy Committee of the Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development. Delegates from more than 50 countries were discussing the methods of protecting and enhancing consumer’s standing for the benefit of more sustainable and digital future.

The international debate on effective protection of consumer rights is already beginning. 

UOKiK currently leads the work of the International Consumer Protection and Enforcement Network - ICPEN. The first conference under the Polish presidency is being held in Warsaw on 4-6 October. The priority is to empower responsible consumer choices and strengthen global cooperation among institutions protecting their rights.
