Tomasz Chróstny, President of the Polish Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK), together with the European Commission(Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers), organized a joint meeting of two key EU networks dealing with consumer protection.

Poland’s presidency of the Council of the European Union offers a number of opportunities to promote competition and consumer protection. Joined by experts from other European consumer protection networks, Tomasz Chróstny, President of UOKiK, will be discussing the priorities that need to be set in this specific area at the EU level.

In 2024, the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) and the Albanian Competition Authority (ACA) collaborated under the TAIEX program. The project included workshops and an expert mission by UOKiK in Tirana, as well as a study visit of ACA representatives to Poland.

On 17 December in Chisinau, the EU officially launched a 27-month Twinning project for the Moldovan Competition Council.
