UOKiK Summer Camp 2025 kicks off: practical workshops and meetings with experts
  • The next edition of UOKiK Summer Camp is starting – workshops recognised in the 2024 Competition Advocacy Contest for their modern and engaging format.
  • This is a unique opportunity for students of law, economics, and related fields to gain valuable experience in one of Poland’s key government offices.
  • Over five days, participants will take part in workshops, analyse the most interesting case studies, meet with experts, and have the chance to secure paid internships and long-term collaboration.

The UOKiK Summer Camp is a free, intensive course for top students, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the activities of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection.

From Monday to Friday, students will participate in workshops and team-building activities designed to encourage valuable networking and the exchange of experiences.

In this edition, participants will once again explore the topic of competition protection. By analysing case studies on abuse of dominant position, cartels, and other unfair market practices, they will gain insight into the work of lawyers, economists, and analysts conducting proceedings. The course will be led by practitioners and experts from UOKiK, alongside invited guests.

What exactly is on this year’s programme?

During the week of 15–19 September 2025, the sessions will cover the broad topic of competition protection, from economic aspects to discussions of all types of unfair practices, including agreements restricting competition and abuse of a dominant position. The programme will also include topics such as business searches, computer forensics, mystery shopping, open-source intelligence (OSINT), and the methods used by UOKiK employees to obtain evidence.

Additionally, there will be a discussion on merger control, which aims to prevent excessive business consolidation that could significantly reduce competition in the market.

More prizes await

Summer Camp is not the only educational project run by UOKiK. The next editions of the competition of the President of UOKiK for the best master’s theses and doctoral dissertations on competition and consumer protection are currently underway. Cash prizes, publication of the thesis in the UOKiK Library, and, for the winners of the master’s thesis competition, paid graduate internships are available.

Theses written in Polish or English may be submitted. We are accepting master’s theses until 28 November 2025 and doctoral dissertations until 30 November 2027. Details can be found on the UOKiK website.
