The President of UOKiK has brought charges against Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. The company may, contrary to applicable law, be failing to provide consumers with effective channels of contact.

Facebook changed the manner in which in presents links to press content. UOKiK has initiated preliminary investigation concerning the case in question. 

Acting in cooperation with representatives of four state institutions, the President of UOKiK has held talks with the following social media platforms: Meta, Google and TikTok. The roundtable meeting that was also attended by representatives of the advertising industry and the academia, focused on quicker and more effective elimination of illegal advertising. The event was another step towards more efficient management of the social media advertising market.
